Illinois and Drama

April 23rd, 2008
I will live long and free in the world of Illinois. Yes, it will be a little upsetting and also a little exciting. I will definitely miss all the wonderful mountains and lakes and trees here in the reservation, seriously, Urbana-Champaign is so flat! I mean, that’s not that bad, but I can’t get used to it, without all the nature green, the city seems to be in the middle of nowhere. That reminds me of Dooms Day. Hoorah.

And now I’m fretting a little about the prom. I’ve never done make-up before and I need to get contact lens, and I haven’t picked out a dress because I never wear dresses and I need to figure out what I would do with my hair. Now that I think about it, I haven’t worried so much about dressing up for anything since like…. 7 years ago.

Has anyone every heard of Delightful Girl Choon-Hyang? It’s an AMAZING Korean drama. I just finished the last few episodes today and it’s soooooo good. I think the first few episodes were actually the best, and perhaps the very ending as well, because I love it when Moong-Ryung and Choon-Hyang bicker about everything. It’s hilarious, they’re both awesome celebs, if they actually make a real couple on Earth, I’d be fangirling about them all the time.

*sudden breakout*

Oh, I almost forgot, thanks for the lovely lovely lovely comments Elena and Chiyu! Yesh, Sleep-Deprived Club! I like it!

ah, prom. fun night. no worries, i’m sure you’ll be fine. i never really wore dresses either, i never wore make-up and i didn’t wear any for my prom, my dress was last minute the week before prom. and i did my hair on the day of (like pretty much everyone else) and it was nothing fancy either, just cut, layered and styled a little. i admit, i do still want contact lenses though x333 anyway, just have fun, and don’t pick a dress that you’ll only wear onces x333

At the end of the day…

I’m just really bored right now. There’s nothing better to do alone than blogging. See, what I love about blogging online is that no one really has to listen or care what I have to say. And I won’t feel flustered about anything, I can write whatever I want, freely. It’s an alternative route to being antisocial, like I’m not directly interacting with anybody, but if anyone decides to read what I write, then I’m getting through anyhow. Win-win. And it’s fun, lol.

Plus, I can practice typing. I backspace ten-thousand times in any paragraph of reasonable size.

I took the second part of my math test. It wasn’t bad because it was pretty much the same questions, but I sort of forgot how to do the distance and position vectors. I gave it a shot at least, though I didn’t get a definite answer. And now I’m thinking I have my AP Stat test tomorrow, this really is a “math-ish” year for me, I choose strange courses. I suck at History, English, Spanish, and Math, and maybe I’m a little more successful in the Sciences, but not by much. I don’t even know how I survived these last four years.

So actually, I actually want to talk about how sleep-deprived I am right now. I’m like a living zombie. I forget so many things now, I can’t remember anything, and for like, the first 5 periods each day, I want to doze off. It’s worst this year. Last year was all right, since I guess I was never so sleepy before, but I think the effects are starting to overwhelm me now. The total opposite of me is Louis cause he’s always so geeky. He can ramble on about some things I have no idea what he’s saying, it’s like I’m talking to him but in fact, he’s just talking to himself.

Basically, I want a break.

And I think I have to get off now.

The Autopsy

April 6th, 2008
It’s kind of hard to forget something like a dead body being pried open, skinned, and chopped up like bread loaf. I was already going through a weak stomach last year dissecting a fetal pig, but a human body? Uh-uh. Whoever did that autopsy probably never thought a horror movie was scary at all. Chucky, the evil doll. Woo, I’m petrified.

So after the y-incision and the skinning, both of which gave me the creeps until I almost fell out of my chair, the guy pulled out the intestines and cut the top of the esophagus as well as the part at the bottom, erm, the uterus? Whatever it’s called. Then the bloody part yanking all the organs out at once. Actually, I probably would thank them for doing it that way, instead of one-by-one, so that I wouldn’t have to see the peeled skin and the rest of the corpse.

The spleen was cut like bread loaf, and so was the liver, except that the liver looked like turkey and the spleen did not. The kidneys got the hot-dog cut, which probably wouldn’t hurt so bad. Hmm…. the gallbladder was most interesting because it was the only green thing there. Everything else was either red, dark red, black red, or white. The guy who was talking about the autopsy didn’t do a good job at literal elements, the metaphors. He referred skinning the kidneys like “peeling a grape, just this is slightly larger.” Ugh, please no. Don’t. I then had problems eating my bowl of grapes yesterday.

Oh right, and the brain was like mush. I can totally picture that ball of squiggles inside my head. The head was also cut in such a horrific way, I wanted to hide under my chair. “Like delivering a baby.” No, that guy’s gone muzzah!

Dinnertime. Now why the heck was I writing all that…. crap?

New Look, New Beginning

April 3rd, 2008
Clearly a brand-new layout, featuring Orlando Bloom. Well, he’s off to the right, not much of a showcase, but at least I’ve got part of his pretty face here. I hope this layout gives off a new aura, I really love the colors, it’s just much brighter and cleaner I think. In addition to this current dress-up, I’ve pruned and archived some of my entries. Some are just really embarrassing and awkward, I don’t know what the heck I was thinking when I wrote them. The full, original entries are at this other place, which I’m not telling lol =P They’re just for my eyes, only mine. Maybe once the year ends, I’ll move everything back to where they belong, it’s just that I’m slightly paranoid right now.

So that’s actually about it. Tomorrow, I have my Forensics Autopsy at the auditorium. Mulvey’s classes are gonna be merged together for this autopsy, so I’m looking forward to seeing who’s in the other class.

Happy April Fools Day!

Just to say a celebration. I have to leave the library in 5 minutes and find my sister, then we’ll travel to Rye Racket Club for yet another 2 hours of fun and torture. Cyaz!
